The Mayans stopped keeping track of time after the date: December 21, 2012…which, to some doomsday theorists, means there will be no time to track after that date. Really?! Word?!
Am I really expected to panic because an ancient civilization only thought it prudent to count 5126 years into the future? I mean isn’t 5126 enough? That’s close to 100 generations! So they stopped counting…they probably figured we’d figure out the whole calendar thing by then.
Say you’re RIGHT & the world is going to end after today. How exactly does knowing this help the situation? What’s the proper preparation for an extinction level event? Do I scurry around getting facets of my life that have gone long neglected in right order? My spirituality, my relationships, bucket list? What bunker can withstand a force capable of erasing all creation?
I say, “Whatev’s, dude!”
The world was created without my consultation & I’m pretty sure it’ll end with an equal amount of input from yours truly. I can’t stop it…I am NOT Bruce Willis (Armegedon or 5th Element…your pick)!
Yeah…it would suck if today really IS the last time I get to thank “Little 8lbs 7oz Baby Jesus” that it’s Friday. Yeah…I WOULD like to see another January; another birthday. I gave ‘em hell for close to 33 years, learned a lot, had some amazing experiences, & used every talent my Creator gave me to create something CLOSE to a life that I wanted to lives.
If the world ends today…it’ll happen as I do what I’d be doing on any other Friday. Just in case…”It’s been real, world! Or rather…I have! Southside, 804…Blackwell, shawty! I’m out…no, WE OUT!”
…see ya’ll tomorrow tho! lol
